THE SEA IS PARTING: OUR THOUGHTS ON MATTHEW DOLAN’S COLLECTION AT NYFW

We just want to say that Matthew Dolan‘s work made our week in New York. As he did with his first collection, (that we must have raved on abouta minute ago) workwear was given a new form. His poetic approach to creation and construction, was spun into thread and woven into realness, was alliterative and continuative, which sets a steady pace for the future of his label. This collection felt a little more consumable, which was a smart move.

We like smarty pants who think about these things, it hints a little about what we can imagine the creativity taking us. This coming season, expect a very wearable collection of our favourite hues of blues in slinky silhouettes that make the female figure freaking adorable. We heart anyone who sets out to make gals look rad, and Matt is continuing to seam the story.

Thank you.

P.S. We’re all dreaming about wearing those droopy Mr. Snuffleupagus jacket arms, and I need to get my mits on those shredded shoes.
