It was a (too) short and sweet little trip to Sydney but I can hear echoing calls from other parts of the world. It’s always hard to leave the wild and wonderful paradise at the end of the earth. Incredibly unique things are born and raised on this exotic island. Things like 2 by Lyn and Tony, handmade jewellery that incorporate goodness from the land and earth like kangaroo leather and raw rocks, polished into beautiful pieces that look like sea creatures from the deep. In my travel pack, I also found a cheesy little pocket square in a souvenir store bargain bin. I guess the thin cotton and Australian flora caught my eye, but I also love being a tourist in my own countries from time to time. In the skincare department, I have natural paw paw ointment for my lips because those are first to turn all raisin up on me. The Bosisto’s tea tree antiseptic spray is always something I stock up on while in town, because I’m just that kind of girl to have cuts all over my hands from gutting fish and having tree branches jump out at me often (and it smells just so sweet and fresh). Last but not least, I was lucky enough to have a little afternoon at Elise Balzac’s (Maison Balzac) atelier to talk about experience, memory, cooking, and smells. She gave me a pot of her luxurious ‘la creme de la creme‘, a cream that is rich and nourishing with botanicals that represent goodness from our land. Stay tuned for my Funnest Life Possible file with Elise, Lyn and Tony, and more wonderful people who always make my life down-under so so sweet.
