Our friends Battenwear are turning retail topsy-turvy by setting up camp on the 16th floor in NYC’s Garment District. Adventure loving guests are welcomed with homely and heart-warming knick knacks like dinosaur figurines hiding about the store’s shrubbery; vintage maps; the tropical smell of their very own surf wax; as well as stacks of old surfing and camping mags that you can flip through while waiting for your mate to try on different colour combinations of their vast style range for guys and gals.

Listen up gals. Sometimes its hard enough choosing basics and essentials for ourselves, so when it comes to shopping for a man, so let me take you through some key basics and classic shapes to get you on your way.

Some super exciting news for the w’menswear department came this week, when we found out our pals Battenwear are making small sizes of their great outdoorwear for women! That’s why we decided to go camping in their NYC studio, in the name of FUNNEST GARMENTS POSSIBLE

History is what inspires and informs who we are here at Ponytail Journal. It guides us forwards, inspires us to create, and perhaps gives us space to revisit our own identity.
