ONE OF EVERYTHING PLEASE / WOODEN SUBMARINE VINTAGE GOODS, BANGKOK

When I find something good, I tell people about it because I want everybody to enjoy life’s wonderful things. I definitely don’t claim to have discovered this hidden gemstone all on my own… In fact, I read about Wooden Submarine in Monocle Magazine and, of course, saddled up for exploration before I had finished the last sentence!

Wooden Submarine is an emporium of found objects, statement outfits, rugged home wares, and the type of pieces your grandpa had locked away in his cellar for decades. I am always impressed by owner Sikkawat Jirawith (James’) attention to detail with his well-curated displays of pristine-conditioned wares. The store is tucked into the western wing of the Cabochon Hotel, a stunning boutique hotel that houses magnificent antiques in a quiet Bangkok soi.

Here I have chosen some of my favourite outfits, pieces and things that can make a girl look sharp. Just because it ain’t womens clothing, doesn’t mean a gal can’t make it look dashing: In fact im on my way there now to pick up a couple of pieces I spied on my last visit. Vintage 45rpm here I come!
