Today on the show I'm chatting to my photographer buddy Eric Kvatek about his recent travels to Southeast Asia for W'menswear and Kapital; his early work as a photojournalist; zombie apocalypse escape plans; and the creative process. You can see Eric's work here. Also, shoutout to E.L. Mahon fo...
This week we welcome a newcomer in retail, Tom Clothes and Goods out of Los Angeles who have just set up shop online with prospects of a brick and mortar storefront in the sunny region. Stocking W’menswear and some really interesting brands for a product savy lady, we’ve got our eye her growing curatorial list. Today we’re getting cozy with founder Arielle Ackerman, and taking stock of her shiny new retail (ad)venture.
What’s more exciting than seeing something in bloom is to watch it blossom. Buoy has just released her second EP, one that is rich with her own unique touch, her creative fingerprint if you like, and we are now experiencing the wonderments of an artist who has stretched her legs and is ready to rumble.
Get to know Nigel Cabourn Woman designer Emilie Casiez, the newest addition to the family and an unbreakable Parisian who has her eyes wide open to the wonders of our sensory Universe, past and present.
Our friend Nigel Cabourn’s favourite summer hang out in Japan is only a hop-skip-and-a-jump away from Tokyo, where the echo of cicada calls in the city are swept away with the fresh sea air on the coast. We took a local train out to the volcanic sand covered beaches of Hayama to discover the colourful seaside culture that wonderfully describes the eclectic patchwork of Japanese summer culture. It’s full of bamboo, Hawaiian prints, kayaking, and banana juice spiked with Malibu.
We had an absolute blast shooting around NYC and Paris with Bill Gentle (a.k.a Backyard Bill). You can check out our guides for both respective places but here are the funnest pictures that Bill kept for himself. Very Salty.
Chris Olberding is testament to why style is all about what you’re made of, not about what current trend you’re modelling at the moment. He has built Gitman Vintage on some sound life principles, and those iconic shirts speak of his great values, like making a cut off short sleeved number this season, because fun.
A few weeks back I had the absolute pleasure of shooting with team Kapital for their upcoming campaign. To say the least, I w...
